Privacy policy
Last updated: 26 October 2026
1. Who is responsible for your data
Miguel Villarrubia Sánchez, trading as DLC Studios, 19 Roger Flats, Flat 1, Triq l-Empire Stadium, Gżira GZR 1300, Malta, is responsible for your personal data (the "data controller"). For any question about your data, write to miguel.villarrubia@icloud.com.
2. What data we use and why
When you contact us
The form on this website does not send your data to us or store it anywhere: it simply opens WhatsApp with your message already written. If you decide to send it, we receive through WhatsApp your name, phone number and message. The same applies if you write to us by email or call us.
- Why: to answer your enquiry and manage your booking or order.
- Legal basis: taking steps at your request before a possible contract, and our legitimate interest in answering the messages we receive (Article 6(1)(b) and (f) of the GDPR).
- How long: while we deal with your request, and no longer than 12 months after our last contact, unless the law requires us to keep it longer (for example, invoices).
WhatsApp is provided by WhatsApp Ireland Limited (Meta). Its own privacy policy applies to how it handles your messages.
When you visit the website
Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, Inc., automatically processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, in order to deliver the website and protect it against attacks. This is based on our legitimate interest in running a secure website (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR), and these records are kept only for a short time.
We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking tools. The fonts are served from this website itself, so your browser does not contact other companies when you visit it.
When you use “Test yours now”
If you type a website address, our server sends that address to Google (PageSpeed Insights) to measure its speed, and shows you the score. We send only the address, not your IP address or any other data about you, and we do not keep a list of the addresses people test. Results may be stored for up to one hour so that the same website is not measured twice. Nothing is sent unless you press the button. To prevent abuse, each visitor can run a limited number of tests per day. To count them we keep a code derived from your IP address, not the address itself, and it is deleted within two days.
3. Who we share it with
We do not sell your data. We only share it with the providers that help us run the website and talk to you (the hosting provider, WhatsApp and, for the website test, Google), and with public authorities when the law requires it. Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area; when they do, they rely on the safeguards required by the GDPR, such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
4. Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive it in a portable format. Just write to miguel.villarrubia@icloud.com; we will reply within one month.
If you think we have not handled your data properly, you can complain to the Information and Data Protection Commissioner (IDPC) in Malta: idpc.org.mt.
5. Children
This website is not aimed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
6. Changes
We may update this policy when the website or the law changes; the date at the top shows the current version. This text is available in English and Spanish. If the two differ, the English version prevails.
